Sonoma County Airport

Fast and efficient, well staffed security. Easy parking. Nice restrooms. Ample seating at the gate with charging stations at almost every seat. This is a smaller airport and currently under construction, but well maintained and staffed. I look forward to visiting when construction is complete, and I hope Alaska adds a direct flight to Boise from this airport! Construction is done!! Airport is looking nice and new, front entrance is fully operational. Airport was crowded today, so glad I had an hour for security. Easy security process. Happy to have access to this Airport in Sonoma County!

Love the little airport with a direct flight from Phoenix to my home away from home. Great food and wineries. Beautiful coast line and magnificent Redwood forests. Be sure and go to Bodega Bay and Bodega Headlands. Lots of scenery and hiking on the coast. Also, Armstrong Woods near Guerneville is a must visit. Healdsburg has great food and shopping. It's a fun and friendly place to visit.

It's a decent little airport. It does its job. The new terminal building is obnoxiously loud with it's vaulted ceilings, conversations echo a lot! It definitely needs some sound dampening. Otherwise, it's just a large holding room. Nothing particularly interesting to look at or do. No view of the runway to watch planes come and go. I had high hopes for the new terminal building, but it's honestly pretty boring.

As a previous review stated, the airport is heavily under construction right now. This is fall 2022. I’m not sure the estimated completion timeframe, but there are very limited amenities in the airport itself. There is however a lot of seating! in addition to the construction - perhaps this is adding stress to the employees, but everyone seems unusually tense and easily angered. From the very beginning, there was an upset security guard at the airport drop off entrance that was yelling at drivers who had pulled over beyond the construction zone that states do not park here to park in a small parking lot where she was telling everyone that they would be fined if they didn’t move immediately; she claimed there was some sort of signage directing to a drop off point but I never remember seeing it and I said so Inside of the main lobby, there were several passengers asking for directions on where to go because even though there was signage literally everywhere it is a bit confusing. You got to follow the signs on the floor. There’s also signs taped up everywhere! Perhaps it’s just a little overwhelming for everyone #OverCommunication and even then their questions were met with annoyed employees’ curt answers. The security TSA team didn’t seem as upset. Perhaps it’s only the people who are encountering the first wave of bewildered and confused guests. But from the get-go, airport Karen at the entrance is probably setting the tone for every passenger… Not necessarily in the best way.

This is a very small airport, but that makes for a great experience. Walked right through security - no line, very helpful employees. Arrived about 1 hours before our flight. Only downside is that you have to walk outside to board your plane. We got lucky and the rain stopped just as they started to board the plane. Could have been rough otherwise.
